Tilda & Co Challenge Blog #38 Sketch
I've made this card for the Tilda & Co challenge, which this week is a sketch. I used a blue card base, stamped around the edges to make the "stitching", some stripey paper, watercoloured the image, some SU ribbon and hodgepodge hardware and a stamped greeting.
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Katharina's sketch
This card has been made for the Papertake Weekly challenge which this week is a sketch by Katharina. I used some silver cardstock, layered with the forever friends papers, more silver, some lilac cardstock and two pieces of ribbon. I stamped the ff image onto some SU cardstock, coloured with prismacolour pencils and sansodor, added some stickers and there you have it. I just love these forever friends products (but you probably know that by now!!)

Cupcake Craft Challenge No 7 - xmas!
Here's my DT card for this weeks cupcake craft challenge which this week is to make a christmas card. I made another pyramid card, using some penny black stamped images, coloured with sakura stardust pens, and wanted to make it a bit tree like with some fluffy fibres hanging down! Oh, and some gems too!

BasicGrey Challenges No. 4
I found this challenge site the other day BasicGrey Challenges , and the sketch for this challenge has been created by Susie, a member of the SBS group that I'm in.
I love BasicGrey, so I couldn't not have a go at it!!
I used an Inkadinkadoo stamp, inked up with SU Aubergine ink, stamped straight onto some BasicGrey paper (I'll check the name of it later), and then distressed the edges (although this hasn't come out well in the pic). I used more BG paper, distressed again and mounted with 3d foam, added some ribbon along with some Bohemian gems. A more "grown up card" than I usually do!!

3 challenges in 1!!!
I bought myself a new cuttlebug embossing folder and had to find a reason to use it, so came up with this, and seeing as though the Spoon Full of Sugar challenge is to use charms, the ABC challenge is jewels, and the Cute Card Thursday challenge is lots of sparkle, I thought I'd try and combine them all together because I haven't had much crafting time lately!
I coloured the image with watercolours as well as sakura stardust pens, added glitter glue, some silver embossing and stickers, and ribbon and charm, and of course some butterfly gem "jewels"!!
I hope it fits all 3 criteria OK!

My Time to Craft & Penny Black Challenges
I have had to make a card for my bro, so thought I'd combine a couple of challenges as well!!
The first is My Time to Craft which this week is "Blue". The Penny Black Challenge is to decorate the inside of your card. So I used SU cardstock and SU stamps, my sizzix for the letters and some dazzling diamonds. I also 3D'd some of the stars too.
Just hope he likes it. Now I'm off to the Dentist - not looking forward to that, although actually I am because I've been in agony for the past 2 weeks!!!

Cupcake Craft Challenge No 6 - Sketch
Here's my DT effort for this weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge. This week there is a sketch to follow, and I used my new Forever Friends papers and stickers.
I absolutely love this range of papers, I also used my nesties and circle punches. I haven't found an easy way to line up the paper with the holes in the card - I punched the card first, then I put the paper where it was to go, and drew the holes on to the paper, took it away and made the larger holes, then I placed the paper back onto the card and stuck it in place.
Here is the link to this weeks challenge - why not give it a go?? Cupcake Craft Challenges.

I've made this card while I should be making dinner! Anyway, I've done it now! I've made it for 2 challenges - the Tilda & Co Challenge which this week is to use Chocolate, Pink & White and also the Papertake Weekly challenge which is a great sketch by Katharina.
I used my cuttlebug to emboss the chocolate, my nesties with the image and pink, some pink velvet ribbon and pink and chocolate flowers! mmm - feeling peckish now!

A spoon full of sugar Challenge 17 Christmas is Coming
I've been itching to make a pyramid card for ages, so here's my first attempt at one, and I thought I'd make a christmas one for the Spoon full of Sugar challenge.
I used a PB stamped image, with the bauble coloured with sakura stardust pens, the rest just watercoloured.
It's a bit of a rushed job again, I'm afraid - I seem to be so busy just lately!

SBS18 Challenge 18 - Thank You
Here's my card for the SBS Challenge which this week is to make a Thank You card.
I went and bought myself some of the new forever friends papers and stickers yesterday (a present to myself for my birthday!), and couldn't wait to use them. I would've liked the stamps too, but couldn't afford to buy them all and couldn't choose just one!!
I used the papers, some ribbon and then added some buttons, as well as the cuttlebug letters and a sticker that's mounted on 3d foam.
This is an A5 card as it's also going to be given for a friend who's leaving our local nursery, so loads of people will be signing it - plenty of space inside.

OCC challenge - sketch
I suddenly realised that it's our wedding anniversary tomorrow (as well as my birthday!), so I had to make a quick card. I used the OCC sketch for inspiration, and some SU cardstock, my canvas stamp and a greeting as well as some Heidi Grace stickers.
I'm quite pleased with it, just hope hubby likes it too!

Sarah Kay *Week 11 Trio of Papers*
Here's my entry for this weeks Sarah Kay Challenge. This week you have to use no more than 3 patterned papers. I'm not completely happy with the overall result, but I've been wanting to alter a notebook for ages, and whilst trying to amuse the kids, have come up with this. The photo isn't great, either - the colours haven't come out on the image, and the pink looks SO pink!!!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - male card without blue!!!
This was one of those challenges that you think, oh no, I'm not going to be able to come up with anything for this. I couldn't see any "male" PB stamps in my lot, so started thinking about maybe a xmas card, but then remembered this little stamp that I had.
I then spent the only 25 minutes or so that I had free today while the kids were otherwise occupied (after I did an 11 mile run!!) making a quick card, and am quite pleased with the results. I used my sizzix texturz to emboss some brown cardstock, used my cropodile to add some eyelets, then found some lovely fluffy yarn in my stash. I have never really got on with using Sansodor, but I used some Stampin' Up cardstock to stamp the image, and Oh Wow - it's sooooo good and easy to use on that card!!! (If you want to order any SU stuff please contact me!!)
I decoupaged the image - made the presents 3D, not sure if you can see this in the pic, and added a stamped greeting.
Hope you like. Not sure who I'm going to give it to, though!

Cute Card Thursday & Friday Sketchers
I've made this card for two challenges - the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is Cats & Dogs, and the Friday Sketchers.
I used some Basic Grey paper (I love this paper), my nesties, some flatbacks, some velvet ribbon, fabric flowers and brads.
Cute for a cat lover, don't you think??

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge
I've made this little atc for this weeks tilda and friends atc challenge.
Coloured with marker pens, layered onto some paper from stash, added a button,
hope you like!
Daring Cardmakers & Stamp Something Challenges
I've made this card for the Daring Cardmakers challenge which this week is a sketch, and also the Stamp Something Challenge which this week is a Fall theme.
I used SU stamp, some SU paper and ribbon, a couple of buttons and greeting. Not one of my best cards ever, but there you go! I gave myself an hour in the craft room (first time for what seems like ages), and came out a bit disappointed with this one!

Sketch Saturday #15
I've made my dad a card to go with his cake!! (It's actually his b'day tomorrow). I got these downloads ages ago, but haven't been able to print them out, so I got my dad to do it for me!!! hee hee - how cruel am I!! And now I've turned them into a card for him! I really should get a colour printer!
The silver background has kind of "flashed out" if you know what I mean!

We've been baking!!!
We've been busy this morning - busy making a cake for Grandad! I was going to make just a round one, but then decided on doing something different! Inspired by a visit to a well-known supermarket a couple of months ago, when the kids spotted an armchair cake, but I wasn't prepared to fork out the price!!!
If you want to see a couple more pics of the cake in the making, or should I say baking!!, keep looking down!!!
It started life as an oblong, then cut in half, and one half had a slither cut off the edge, which was then cut in two to make the arms.
Now covered in butter icing. I was going to use a fondant, but didn't have all the ingredients. Never mind!
The kids made "Grandad" and his remote, and tv (what does that say about my parents!!!??)
Enjoy - we definitely will!!
Now I'm off to make some Borscht with some beetroot from the garden!

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - girly card
I was meant to be getting my 3 yr old to help me make a card for a little girls birthday party today, but I kind of took over, and he got bored!! Anyway, I've made a card for Lily, stamped a PB image onto shrink plastic (coloured with prismacolour pencils), ran it through my xyron to put a magnet on the back, then stuck it onto the card with removable adhesive. I used my cuttlebug dies to make the letters, number and happy birthday with lovely glitter card (the expensive stuff that I save for special occasions (hmmph), some paperstock, and my tri-fold card (tutorial on my blog)!
Click on the photo for a better look - the photo hasn't come out too well!
I think she'll like it. Now to get the kids ready for the party ...
