Tilda & Co "~*~ 26 ~*~ Sketch This..."

This card, made using my new Basic Grey papers, some ribbon, brads, flowers, and of course a magnolia stamp - thanks to Vicky for that one!! Coloured using my tombow pens, and with clear glitter glue added to her dress for extra sparkle!

These have got to be some of my favourite colours - burgundy.

Tri-Fold Card Tutorial

I’ve had so many nice comments about my tri-fold card, that I’ve decided to do a little tutorial on how to make one, without having to buy or download a template, so here goes.

Start with a piece of A4 cardstock.
I have an envelope folder and board which has a groove at approx. 9.25 cm. Score across at this point, and then fold the card, and score another with the folded edge against the edge of the board (pic 1).

This will give you a card with two score lines at regular intervals. Fold the card as shown in pic 2.

You will then have a slight edge overlapping on the last piece – trim this off with a guillotine to make it fold neatly onto itself.

Next, I used my Creative Memories circle to cut from edge to score line on the first third, approx. 5.5” down from the top edge, do the same in the middle section approx. 3” down, from scoreline to scoreline, and then 1” down from score line to last edge on the last piece, as in pic 3. I guess a CD would make a nice curve, too, or anything round really!

Then using a ruler, cut down from the top edge to meet your semi-circle cuts (pic 4). Once you have done this on both vertical score lines, re-fold your card to have a tri-fold (pic 5).

Hope this makes sense!!! Let me know if you have any queries,
Jenny

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 16

This card has been made for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. The challenge is to use No Patterned Paper!
I used some SU cardstock and stamped it with a background stamp, adding die cut photo corners, stamped image and raffia ribbon with stamped and utee'd tag, which says best wishes, but it hasn't photographed very well. I'm really loving using my spring card template - can you tell!!??

French Storage idea!!!

I just thought I'd share this storage idea that I picked up in a French market while on our travels in Brittany last week. I bought it for about 8 euros in a market, and it was the only one I had seen, until I turned a corner and saw loads of other stalls selling similar things!! Some had 4 or 5 baskets, all around the same price - typical, hey!!!
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with it - I immediately thought it would be ideal for all those little bits and bobs in my crafty room!!!

SBS18 Challenge #6 - Lilac

This is a card I managed to make while in sunny France. I'm not too sure about it myself, but with limited resources and time, it was the best I could come up with. I made the stamped image 3d, layering it 3 times, and it is dangling on the ribbon, which obviously doesn't really show in the picture. I just wanted to try my new spring card template!
Luckily, it also fits in with the SBS18 challenge #6, being that it's lilac!!!

I was determined to do this challenge - a great excuse to get my beads out (again) and combine them with shrink plastic! The only thing I find hard with Magnolia challenges is that I only have 2 stamps - ahhh!!
