Crafty Monkeys, One Stop & ABC Challenges

Here are some pics of what we got up to yesterday, and it's just perfect for entering into the Crafty Monkeys challenge. The kids made coconut ice mice, and bryony made this card with cupcakes - both for their Nan's birthday (today).

I've made this altered tea box, and I guess it could be entered into the ABC Challenge because once I had the box painted, it didn't actually take long to put the papers and die cut letters and punched flowers on! Hope it counts, even though it's not a card!!!
Ooh - just realised it fits in with the One Stop Craft Challenge which this week is Pretty Petals - check out their blog for more info!
Oh, I nearly forgot - I'm really pleased with my first ever attempt at making truffles! And they taste GORGEOUS!!! yum, we, I mean my mum, will enjoy these later!!!

Crafty Monkeys Challenge

Here's a card that my daughter made for a birthday party today. I actually made the "4" base card, and she then decorated it. This is about all the crafting I've done all week, roll on tomorrow - maybe I'll get some done then!!

Tiny Funky Fairies and Elves Animal Challenge

This card has been made for both the Tiny Funky Fairies and Elves Challenge, and also for Bryony & Isaac's Grandad's upcoming birthday!! It's a joint effort - Bryony didn't really want to use her pretty stickers, but Isaac did, so they both had some input!
I'm just glad it's over - until the next crafty escapade!!!

Tiny Funky Fairies and Elves & Crafty Monkeys

We've been really busy today! First of all we went blackberry picking, and then grabbed a few apples from our orchard, so we made a crumble, then we made chocolate crispy cakes - yum! Then, Bryony has been busy making a couple of cards - one which is flowery (for her friend Sophie's birthday next week), and also the Tiny Challenge 4

and then she made a christmas card for the Crafty Monkeys challenge!

Wow. Now she's sat down after all that hard work watching TV (well earned, I think!)

P.S. Bryony is 5!

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge - Beads

Here's my entry for this weeks Tilda ATC challenge, which this week was to incorporate beads. I coloured my atc base with some shimmery paints (similar to Twinkling H2Os, but the cheaper alternative!!), then decided to colour the tilda with the same paints. I wasn't quite sure how it would turn out, but I was very pleased with the results, and it's all lovely and shimmery, but I don't think it has come out on the photo. I then replaced the "sea" with beads. Meanwhile, my little girl is now making a similar effort - I'll post hers shortly!!! Watch this space ...

Right, here's Bryony's (age 5), and I think she may have done a better job than I did! She stuck beads on to the skirt (as you can see, the glue's still wet!!), and I helped her to make a lollipop out of a larger bead and wire. She coloured the image and the background with the twinkly paints.

Sarah Kay Challenges *Week 4* Scallop Sketch

Here's my take on this weeks Sarah Kay sketch challenge. Dug out some paper that I've had lying about unused for ages, made an effort to use an embossing folder that I don't think I've tried before, used my FAVE nesties (again !!!), along with an image that was sent to me by Vicky (thanks again!), coloured with my prismacolour pencils. As you can see (I hope), I put the blue floral paper on the inside of the card, and the 3 scalloped circles are the right hand side of the card, so it opens from the 3 circles, if you know what I mean!?! There is probably a proper "term" for this type of card, but I don't know what it is!! Any clues??

Just thought I'd include this quick pic of my daughters "copy" of my ATC that I made for the SBS18 challenge last week - she was desperate to have a go, and I think she did a really good job!!!
